WHS Alumni Killed in WW2, Korea, and Vietnam

We honor those WHS alumni who died in the service of our country.

In observance of the following upcoming days of remembrance: Armed Forces Day, May 17; Memorial Day, May 26; D-Day, June 6; and VJ Day, September 2, the Washington High School Historical Committee is honoring alumni who gave their lives for our country during World War II.

In observance of Armed Forces Day on May 17, 2025, the following fallen alumni represent the branches of the service.

Marines: Max William Malloy, Pvt. Iwo Jima

Navy: Orville Walter Anderson, Electrician’s Mate 1st Class, USS Barbel, - Pacific

Nurses Corp: Margie A. Camper, Lt. - India

Army Air Force: Harry W. Bessler, 2nd Lt. - Italy.

U.S. Army Medical Corps: Harry Edward Bringham, Specialist 5 - Luxembourg

U.S. Army Infantry: Milo Raymond Oihus, Pfc. - Battle of the Bulge
